Credit score

I app**** for Momentum home loan at my work place as they are helping us from our pension funds. My application was declined due to credit score as I was on debt review, everything is cleared and I received my clearance certificate, then submitted again, they said I must it to Experian or Transunion and request them to update my score, I send momentum the print out of my updated score from Experian and they said they don't use Experian when they credit score it's only transunion, I fail to understand that because I was given a choice there. I am confused.
