Bad service and treated like a ******** just for amending a policy
Hi, I am writing this with a broken heart, how momentum treat elderly people for amending policies.
My uncle lost his wife during Covid and he found out about the investment he did when he was still employed. When I checked the policy document I realized that his late wife(my aunt) was a nominated beneficiary should anything happen to him.
I requested the change on his behalf as per my uncle request, since I have a clue with insurance and how ******** of beneficiaries affect people at claims stage.
Eventually, I was sent documents after I complained about the way the process is done, firstly my uncle was not called to ask if momentum can send me the forms. Instead it was expected of him to go print the amendment form as if he has a printer at home and understand POPIA or how the process works.
The documents are complicated and especially due diligence, he is still alive not dead.He was just amending his investment policy and nominated new beneficiaries in case he passed away before policy matures.
All was done, then I got an email that there's discrepancies about signatures and that he has to go to police station for three specimens samples. It is done and I have never seen my uncle so upset and wishing to die because of the treatment he got at Momentum.
Really that is in human and disgrace, why was he not called to validate his signature? Obviously signatures will differ due to age, and eye sight so I am wondering how the process of when he claims for his investment, will he be treated like a ******** at age of 78yrs?
We are sincerely sorry that you feel this way.
