Appalling service

I have dealt with momentum funds at work on more than 5 occasions now as an employer and I have also dealt with them in my personal capacity and on all occasions their service has been nothing short of appalling to say the least, as it is, I have been communicating with them about the payment of employees provident fund and I have been given the run around for 3 weeks now, they do not communicate with the member or employer and you have to constantly chase after them if u want service, people are sitting without income and are unable to feed their families from provident fund that they have been saving for years but momentum couldn't care less. I had the same problem when my sister passed on and had a policy with momentum, we couldn't even pay her sons fees in time with money that she had left for him because momentum was dragging their feet and kept passing the buck on who is responsible for which task, I am disgusted by momentum service and wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Momentum received a termination notification on this scheme. The process is that this then goes through to our legal department, who will submit this to the Financial Services Board. The FSB will then decide whether we can pay out the claims or whether they require further information in order that they may make a decision.

The consultant will liaise with you when they have received a response as to whether they may pay out the claims.

Kind Regards

Sue

Good Day

The formal termination notification was received on the 25th May 2018. Legal then have the opportunity to investigate the matter and determine whether they require any further information.

Once they have completed their investigation, the termination will be sent to the Financial Services Board who have 30 days in which to revert back to us to advise as to whether they will grant an exemption or whether they require further information.

We are within the turnaround time and feedback will be given.

Kind Regards

Sue
