Another Momentum Life Insurance Hoax

I took out 2 policies from Momentum Life Insurance in 2005. (Critical Illness with Income Protection and Disability). During September 2015 I was diagnosed with papillary cancer in my thyroid. My first claim for Critical Illness was paid 100% but I struggled with several serious health issues & side effects after surgery which caused me to resign from work. After a huge doses of Iodine Radiation (with it's own side effects, I was declared "cured" from my papillary cancer BUT 6 months later, papillary cancer was diagnosed again, this time in my lymph nodes and because it was the same type of cancer, this time my critical illness claim was rejected. Again surgery was inevitable and this time side-effects was so severe that I had to be resubmitted to hospital a week after my discharge. I tried almost every kind of medical help in the next 6 to 8 months, with no or very little success. Even though I was declared cured again from cancer, my general health was in a total mess. In September 2017 post surgical hypoparathyroidism was diagnosed and during November 2017 a cyst on my ovary was discovered & an ovarian hysterectomy had to be done. Even though it wasn't cancerous, it was another procedure, anesthesia again and new side effects! Movement and life, really became a problem for a once National Badminton player and cyclist which made earning an income totally impossible. However, as far as my 13 year old policies are concerned, 2 rounds of cancer 6 months apart, with severe procedural side effects, 2 rounds of radiation and a hysterectomy, all in a 3 year span, is not enough reason for the Disability claim to be honored and also not good enough reason for Income Protection to be paid out. I therefore urge each and every person reading this to reconsider Momentum as your answer to any of the named policies. No one APPLIES for cancer, and if this terrible illness cross your path, the last thing you want to struggle with, is to fight for money that you made provision for!!!!
