Annuity refund
<p>For the past month i cannot get Momentum to refund me for Annuity Policy that I had. I cancelled the policy as there was no growth on the policy. Now it is up and down with the Call Centre and persons dealing with the case. There was a problem with the tax derictive. I did gou to a SARS branch in Paarl to sort this out. Still it is being declined. There was suggested that the y must do it manually and even before they do that the lady said it will declined. It is not R1 000 000 we are talking about but R1500. So why must I wait now a month already for my payment. What is my next step. The OMBUDSMAN .</p>
I appreciate you raising your concerns with us. They are indeed very disappointing and we certainly letting you down. We will investigate and I can assure you that a manager will contact you.

Dear Mrs Breytenbach,
I refer to our earlier telephone conversation. As discussed we have put a query in to SARS to ask that the 5910 / 1452 coding be lifted to enable Momentum to apply for an electronic directive. If you are able to resolve the matter from your side and arrange for SARS to lift the coding as well, this will definitely help is resolving the problem. Alternatively, if you can get written permission from SARS agreeing that we can apply for a manual directive, we can follow that route. If Momentum have to apply manually, it will take a further 21 days..
My direct contact details were provided in the email that I sent you, for you to liaise with me directly.
Kind regards,
N D'Arch

Dear Mrs Geldenhuys,
I have emailed a manual tax directive application (Form C) to you as requested. As stated in my previous email, once you have received the original Tax directive from the Receiver of Revenue, please can you courier the original document to me, as I may not approve payment on a emailed copy. I will require the original in order to determine that no amendments or changes were made to the document.
Kind regards,
N D'Arch.

Dear Ms. Geldenhuys.
I refer to our last interaction on this matter. We are still not able to apply for a tax directive, as SARS have still not sorted your tax status out. We are thus not in a position to assist you further with this query. In the event that you do manage to resolve your problem with SARS, you are welcome to contact me directly and I will gladly facilitate the commutation of your Retirement Annuity policy with our call centre.
Kind regards,
N D'Arch.
