Worst Experience with Momentum : Would not recommend it.

We took out motor and household insurance with Alexander Forbes, now bought out by Momentum in July 2020. They valued my vehicle at R118 400. In October on the 17th I was involved in a severe accident and they wrote my vehicle off suddenly now they are offering R75 000 payout claiming that is the value of the vehicle. When asked about how my vehicle could depreciate almost half the value in 3 months they offered to pay the premiums back without revising the offer to be reflectiveofthe original evaluation which was done by the insurer, which is ridiculous. Furthermore since I've been looking for a vehicle to replace mine since the beginning of November, I have not come across a single vehicle which is less than R100 000 of the same quality and brand nationally from dealers or private individuals. It seems these claim payout figures are skewed and thumb sucked.This is ****************. Had I not been in an accident they would have happily continued depreciating my vehicle annually with the same premium. If anyone values their items, I would recommend they do not insure them with Momentum. This is the worst experience. Since my accident the vehicle was towed to my home and is still here to date 27 November 2020. This traumatic view is seen by my family everyday, further more it's visible to the entire community and frequently people are stopping at our home, creating security issues and invading our privacy to ask about this vehicle.
