Unpaid claim

I am currently insure with Alexander Forbes, my phone screen broke last year August and i contacted them to register the claim. They asked me to get a quote for repairs which i did at a shop called Wefix in Sandton, they paid out my claim and when I went to Wefix to get the phoned repaired they guy who was assisting me told me that they don’t have stock for my phone screen at that time he then referred me to another shop in Greenstone Mall to fix my phone.

I went to the shop and they said they can repair my phone with R4200 and Alexander Forbes and paid me about R4300, they repaired my phone and i paid they cash R3900 and swiped R300. They gave me a receipt which i do not have at the moment as it has been couples of months now...

Past 2 weeks my phone had the same damage again and i followed the same procedure to claim again, then they said because it has not been over a year since i fixed the screen they need the invoice for last year August's repairs. I told them I didn’t keep it as they did not advise me to send it or keep it for future references and that pat is not even on the contract.

The asked for the shop details where I fixed my phone and I gave them, they called the shop to get the invoice and the shop Assistant told them that they don’t have electronic invoices and the copy of the hand written one they are not sure where that receipt book is as about 5 months ago now and the owner of the shop is not in the Country at the moment.

They then called me and asked if I can maybe prove this transactions by means of my Bank Statement showing withdrawals and the difference I swiped and I did send them my bank statement showing 3 withdrawals summing to R3900 and the R300 difference I swiped on those dates of the claim.

Yesterday their Claims Consultant Salani Offered Nkuna that i have been dealing with called me and told me that Management say it’s still not enough for them to pay my claim.

So am now stuck and have given them all i can to prove that the phone was indeed repaired last year, please assist.
