STAY AWAY FROM MOMENTUM

Horrible horrible horrible insurer. Momentum is the worst insurer ever. Struggled with an insurance claim for more than a month. Now their take me home service is an hour late. No one has contacted us and we're waiting for a driver that clearly isn't showing up. Stay away from Momentum. Customer service is non-existent so insurance premium is 100% a waste of money.

This experience with Momentum Insure is just a month after my previous horrible experience with Momentum Insure where they forced me to take my car to an assessor after a car accident instead of sending an assessor out to me. And then forcing me to use a panel beater of THEIR choice which wasn't close to where I live nor work. Terrible service provider. Stay away from them. I recommend Santam or Alexander Forbes.

The damage is already done, discussing my concerns after the fact will accomplish absolutely nothing. I have spoken to a manager last night and by 11:30 we still didn't have a driver to take us home. According to Momentum's policy, if the customer is 15min late the driver leaves and yet when the driver is 2 hours late, we should just accept it and sleep in the car or drive under the influence? It's an unreliable service and I need a partial refund for insurance premiums paid for services not rendered.

In a separate incident in June, I asked Momentum how I should go about to get a rental car while my car is in for repairs. Momentum's response was that once I have taken my car in for repairs, I should let them know and THEN they will arrange for a rental car. How on earth does this make sense? Knowing that Momentum only responds to e-mails after a couple of days, am I supposed to walk out of the panel beaters without a car and then overnight there for 2 days to allow Momemtum time to arrange the rental car at that point? Please explain that logic to me.
