Silence of the Momentum

On the 6th of Dec 2023, I had an accident with my car and Momentum is my insurer. The claim was logged and it took Momentum and its assessors 7 days to determine my loss. When cover was taken, I had to submit photos and it was confirmed that all is in order. My cover is active. When settlement was discussed, Momentum wants to deduct almost R7500 from the settlement amount for apparent preexisting damages. Now, lest be fair, I am aware of scratches on the drivers door as well as a broken side mirror, but as for the rest of the damages, it was as is when I bought the vehilce. When trying to speak to, Busisiwe Zulu, she is never available. Even the appointed broker struggles to get hold of her. There is now a canopy in question, which I bought 2nd hand on facebook market place. Now she wants proof of purchase to determine when the canopy was added to cover so that they can apply depreciation. 1st of all, when buying stuff on FB market place, there is no letters signed, proof of sale ETC. I am asking Busisiwe to see if I can get the person who sold me the canopy, to write a letter instead, and this is unacceptable. The initial instruction to insure the canopy was send to the broker and then is to be discussed with Busisiwe. Today is the 19th and still no feedback from either Momentum or Savvy brokers. This is horrific, really
