********** by Alexander Forbes

My husband was in an accident on the 3rd December 2018 which was caused by an Alexander Forbes client. A third party claim was initiated by the client as she knocked into my husbands car causing the vehicle to be beyond repair. All the necessary documentation was sent through to Alexander Forbes by my husband upon request. He initially dealt with Solomon Mkwenya. No feedback was given and upon several weeks passing my husband had to call and follow up. An offer was made to my husband of R14000 which he rejected via email as this amount could not replace the vehicle. No response was given to acknowledge that the offer was rejected. Eventually after numerous attempts my husband was given excuse after excuse and after a while his calls were being avoided by Solomon. When he asked to speak to a supervisor he was put through to several other people who made him a joke. There are recordings to prove this. Eventually we were put through to Amos who advised that they are working on the case. After several weeks still no feedback. W eventually had the same experience with Amos as we had with Solomon. We were then put through to Tevan. He advised that there was nothing that could be done and we would have to accept the offer or get nothing. We were eventually forced to day w will accept the offer. Tevan submitted paperwork via email which my husband had to sign and send back. My husband sent back the contract after signing it via email in April 2019. He then received no feedback once again. He submitted again in May 2019 and still received no feedback. In the 06 June 2019 he called Alexander Forbes and spoke to Amos once again. Amos advised that he did not receive the email. My husband insisted that it was sent. Eventually Amos found the email and then claimed that the document was not attached. He accused my husband of not knowing how to send an attachment. My husband had to explain that he worked at an IT company and knew about computers and was not illiterate. My husband then had to explain to Amos how to open the attachment. Amos then found the document. Even after this Amos still requested that he resend the documents to Amos. The accident occurred in December 2018 it is now June 2019 and r still have not received any joy from Alexander Forbes. My husband has been using public transport since the accident as he has no other means of transport causing him to experience problems as he works shifts. This has caused us so much of inconvenience even though the accident was not my husbands fault. Alexander Forbes is the worst company that anyone can deal with as their staff are the most *********** people ever. I will never advise anyone to use them as an insurance company. I will ensure that everyone gets to know about this via the media.
