Poor claims management on recent resultant storm damages in KZN on the 27 June 2023

A recent claim, post KZN storm damages ,27 June 2023 was handled by Chantel Masilela of Momentum Insure. All due communications were disseminated by her and my broker timeously. The 2nd movable items assessing company Allsure could only arrive on the 13 July 2023(18 days post the event),due to huge log in claim and assessing. This in my view was too late anyway to assess resultant damages. The Allsure company rep,Cherise, was arrogant, untruthful and inefficient in calls and communications to us,with incorrect contact numbers etc given to the assessor. This in my view is a service provider that Momentum has selected to act on their behalf and provides poor service, with gross incompetencies on behalf of Momentum. The assessor arrived a day late, due to incorrect contact details given to him, which he planned for the 15 July 2023 and due to me escalating this issue, arrived today,His feedback was that there was not much resultant damages that he could see and wanted to take some furniture away with him for an auction and only may have them returned to us in 2 to 3 weeks time,if not sold. These furniture have sentimental value and we declined him to take away.Carpets that were soaked under 50mm of water were already dried out ,which he also wanted to take away. His assessment on some items stated that this could not be as a result of the recent storm...18 days later guys! This gives Momentum a poor reputation,as they were appointed by them and in my view this results in me being frustrated as I have been paying my monthly contributions.
