Over 2 months to fix a car

By the time momentum even reacts to this review, it will be over 2 months (if not more) since my claim was approved. Since then it’s been excuse after excuse, with momentum blaming the panel beater, asking me to join them in a teleconference with the panel beater. A panel beater whom they didn't contact me when selecting in the first place, and now expect me to get involved in quarrels with.

All this time I have been asking momentum to get their panel beater to commit to a completion date, and honor that date. I was promised a completion date of the 31 August 2016, which moved to 9 September 2016, which changed to we'll give you feedback on 13 September 2016 (today). All this after many escalations from claim advisor to claim advisor.

To top it off, I've insured this car for my father who is a pensioner. Now I have to keep explaining to my dad that momentum is a legit insurer, and it has to be their panel beater.

I wish I had asked momentum to give me the approved claim amount so I can get the repairs done by a panel beater of my choosing, that way it wouldn’t feel like the slap in the face that it feels like now when the panel beater delays.

I'm very disappointed (which is an understatement), but I guess it’s one of those experiences that you have to live, in order to learn from.
