Momentum Policy

I have a policy with Momentum that was migrated from Alexander Forbes (which has been my insurer for years). I Called the momentum today as I need a locksmith for my home and was told they won’t pay for this service as there is no ”emergency ”.

I’m lost for words

All of a sudden momentum decided to dictate what is urgent / what is an emergency and what is “just locked room”?.

What if I need to get ready for night duty? What if my medication is in the room? What if I need a laptop charger for an important online meeting I need to attend?

If this situation is indicative of what technical stance they will opt for when I one day need them the most, then I NEED TO FIND INSURANCE fast!

First there was back and forth about my address since your system conveniently forgot there is a Sandown in Cape Town, and then there was a switching of telephone lines by the agent citing that the previous line had dropped while the line was in fact active- then I knew they trying to deviate from the main recording to a supervisors line (which not always recorded).

If this is how all customers are treated then I really am bothered right now.
