Momentum Insure tries to strong arm the clients into accepting low ball offers

I had a head on collision on the 20 June 2022. Momentum was good at arranging to get the car towed but that's where their service ended. About a week later I got threatening emails saying that I was not cooperating and that they could not get hold of me and they needed to do so as per the agreement. I was also instructed to sign over the change of ownership before they even let me know what they would give me for my car. When I sent a screen shot of my missed calls and none where from Momentum they retracted and said they had the wrong number on file. That in itself is strange as my copy of the policy had the correct number. They decided to write the car off due to the extensive damages which is understandable. The settlement price that they sent was way off retail which the car was insured for. I have sent TransUnion reports on my car which was substantially higher then their supposed TransUnion report, they could not work out why theirs was so much less with the same facts on the car. As the car was insured for retail all I ask is that they put me back into the same position I was in before. I was told on the phone that I was not going to win that argument. I asked if I was being threatened and the reply was that it was the wrong choice of words on her part. Be that as it may as an insure they need to put me back into the same position I was in before there should be no argument about that. They are offering 150K less than I can buy a car of the same year and mileage. The agent promised to have a reply that day. She came back saying she was overwhelmed with helping out a work mate that was away but would get back to me ASAP. One week later our broker called to find out what was going on as there was silence from them, they said that we would have an answer by Tuesday midday. It's now Friday and still nothing. Good thing I am not in a despite situation I would be forced to take their low ball offering. It is actually sickening that after a near death experience your insurer treats a person like this. I will most probably get a reply on Hell Peter saying how sorry they are that I am not happy and a manager will get hold of me shortly... It's all just spin sad to say and bad faith on their part
