MOMENTUM *****
I want to share my experience with Momentum Short-Term Insurance. Let me be very clear: their conduct has been unacceptable and, in my opinion, borders on a violation of basic privacy and competence standards.
Momentum has repeatedly sent me other clients’ private information — including policy documents and claim details — while placing my claim reference number on someone else’s paperwork. Afterwards they simply say, “Sorry, it was a mistake.” This is not a small mistake. This is a serious breach of confidentiality and raises questions about whether they are complying with the POPIA requirements.
Communication with Momentum has been equally frustrating. They do not respond, they do not follow up, and they do not take responsibility. I have full documentation of the private information they incorrectly shared with me more than once.
To make matters worse, the assessor involved had no clear understanding of what was happening. And when I questioned the assessor’s credibility, Momentum conveniently sent out another assessor to rewrite the entire report — clearly to “fix” the unprofessional first report and make it look more acceptable. The whole process appears disorganized, inconsistent, and completely unprofessional.
In my opinion, Momentum’s handling of my claim has been nothing short of pathetic.

You sent out another assessor — a so-called senior assessor — who is the same person that wrote the first report. And now he is returning to write a completely new report simply because the first one he produced was below standard and filled with inaccuracies. The explanation for the first report was unacceptable, and now you are trying to “fix” it by rewriting the entire assessment.
So at this point, all I can do is wait and see what story Momentum comes up with again.

This is exactly how their short-term insurance operates:
You pay every month, but when you need them, they disappear. No responsibility, no urgency, no basic customer service. Just silence.
It is unacceptable and shows a complete disregard for the people who fund their business.
