I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to Keamogetswe Legodi from Claims and Operations for her exceptional assistance in guiding me through the next steps for my claim and finalizing it. Here's my story:

Last year, at the end of November, I filed a claim due to hail damage. Because panel beaters were closed, I could only drop off my car for assessment at Newco in early 2024. The quotation was done and approved, and I left my car with them. However, the rental period lapsed, and I had to retrieve my car, only to find that the hooter was no longer working, incurring additional expenses for me. As of now, it’s already the end of June 2024, and I've been continuously following up on this issue since last year.

Newco informed me that the insurer wants to write off the car due to the high repair costs. My main concern is that the insurer never updated me; I had to make all the calls. Each time I called, I was told that the issue would be escalated to the Salvage department and that I would receive a call, which never happened. Even during the week of June 24th to 28th, I was given the same response but still received no follow-up.

Only when Keamogetswe Legodi answered my call did things change. She informed me of the same process but promised to personally escalate the issue to the Salvage department and call me back, which she did on the same day. What was so difficult with others?
