Incorrect Premiums Debited

I sent this email yesterday to Momentum

Good day Momentum.

I'm sending this message out of dissapointment as a new client. I received correspondence from Momentum that there will be a 10% reduction on my premiums this month. Yesterday Momentum took the whole amount. This makes me regret why i changed from my previous insurer to Momentum,As i was really happy with them and took a chance to try Momentum out because i have Multiply.

I'm really disappointed

I received a call from one of your consultants Nontobeko who told me the 10% off it only for existing clients whos insurance was taken between Jan-March 2020 . what i fail to understand why did Momentum email me the below email if im not your client. I am new and this is a service i get.. i regret changing from Budget insurance to Momentum I received this email from Momentum on the 17 April 2020 Dear Zandile,

We realise that our clients are less exposed to vehicle accident risks during the national lockdown as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic and have therefore implemented additional measures to provide you with financial relief in very challenging circumstances.

In light of this we will be adding an additional relief measure in the form of an automatic 10% premium rebate to you on your vehicle insurance premiums that are due in May and June 2020. We acknowledge that the lockdown would mean a decrease in vehicle claims and that we are likely to see a staggered approach for people returning to work post lockdown, which may also impact claims frequency.

Good day

Yesterday i received a call from you consultant advising the email with regards to 10% sent to me was sent in error, while you social media page says something else. I got a message yesterday to day i will get the refund this will be implemented after the premiums for the month of May were successfully collected.

Please cancel only my household insurance effective the 01.05.2020, seeing that Momentum falsely advised that i qualify for 10% reduction of my monthly premiums and never implemented this reduction and now coming up with stories that i dont qualify.

I cannot afford the premiums any longer due to salary cut.

I dont understand an organisation who still want to ripoff their clients off during these tough times.

I really regret moving from my previous Insurer to Momentum.

Kind Regards
