Horrid service from Momentum Insure

Purely and utterly disgusted with the service from Momentum Claims Department.

I received a call from Mr Neil Francis (Momentum Claims) on 21 June 2024 late afternoon whereby Neil informed me that the claim pertaining to the motor vehicle accident has been rejected.

At the outset, I must express my strong dissatisfaction, disappointment, and frustration at the manner in which the claim has been handled.

It has been very unpleasant to have interacted with Momentum's Claim Investigator, Mr Neil Francis.

It has taken Momentum 4 weeks to arrive at a rejection and at this point the hired car expired and needed to be returned on 23 June 2024.

Is this fair on the client whereby the rejection is issued literally 1 day before the car hire expires and is to be returned?

Does Momentum treat their clients in such a distasteful and utterly unpleasant manner?

It is abhorrent to note that Momentum clearly does not consider a fair assessment of the merits of the case neither does Momentum have the interests of their clients as a matter of concern when assessing a claim.

This takes away any and all confidence in any client who wishes to secure financial safety and security for their assets with Momentum.

My claim has been rejected on the grounds that my son was driving the car when a third party knocked into him after the third party failed to stop at the stop street.

When Neil called me to discuss the claim, I did inform Neil that my son is the regular driver of the car and this is what I had asked for even upon initially purchasing the vehicle.

Neil did mention that there appears to be a broker error and that this will be rectified and that the claim will be finalized within a week's time.

Imagine my shock when I received the call from Neil on 21 June 2024 that the claim is rejected on the grounds of the issue of regular driver.

In any case, this accident was caused by a third party who smashed and knocked into my son.

The third party even acknowledges and accepts that he is at fault and he is fully insured.

Is Momentum, at the very least, not able to assist in this regard considering the fact that I have 3 vehicles comprehensively insured with Momentum.

I urgently seek relief from Momentum in this regard.

Momentum sent the rejection letter to me via email this morning. They have cited the below reasoning:

"In order to have cover you need to provide us with true and complete information when you apply for cover, submit a claim or make changes to your policy. This also applies when anyone else acts on your behalf.
During the validation process, it was established that Momentum Insure was not provided with all material information that influenced the risk. As discussed, the regular driver noted was incorrect and this had an impact on the premium. This has resulted in the rejection of your claim."

I place on record that I categorically, emphatically, and vehemently reject any insinuation and notion that I have been untrue and misleading in providing all information to the service provider.

I challenge Momentum to prove where I have been dishonest and untrue.

I have and will always be truthful, ethical and strictly adherent to a moral compass of fundamental values that are devoid of *******ities, *********ness and dishonesty.

It is important that the above points are taken into consideration, when assessing the merits of the claim which has now been rejected.

To the best of my knowledge and ability, I have always been truthful and have been dealing in good faith with both Momentum and the broker.

Even the Momentum Claim's Investigator, Mr Neil Francis, himself admitted to me telephonically that I have nothing to worry about as I have done nothing wrong.

He further advised that the claim will be finalized before 21 June 2024.

I reiterate, imagine my shock when I received the call regarding the rejection on 21 June 2024.

Additionally, why isn't Momentum assisting and guiding me in recuperating the funds due to damage from the 3rd party insurer.

The service that I have received from Momentum is **********, at the very least
