Empty promises come claim time

Been waiting 4 months for a claim with specified extras to be paid out. 4 months of insurance and vehicle finance payments going off for a car that is written off. Been paying to insure specified extras for items that are less than 6 months old, only to get told they'll only pay out 27% depreciation for the extras.
