DELAYING CLAIM
I was in a motor vehicle accident on 02 February 2018 and have registered a motor vehicle claim on the same day. The claims advisor who assisted me was Tsholanang Mashoba. On 05 February 2018 I took my vehicle for the assessment. On 08 Ferbuary 2018 I received a phone call from the claims advisor in which she had questions about previous claims (which according to Momentum was not disclosed). I am working through PSG as my broker and advised Tsholanang that I disclosed all the previous details on the application form of PSG and that it is not my fault that my broker did not disclose same. After all this misunderstandings I finally received a phone call on 09 February 2018 from Tsholanang who advised that my claim has been authorised and that she will send me the assessment report to view (which I still did not receive). After more than a week when I suddenly received an email from Tsholanang that the claim is now with Management for authorisation and that there are issues with previous insurance.
How does it happen that a claim is authorised and then suddenly not? What does my previous insurance have to do with my current claim – I am NOT claiming from my previous insurance… I am claiming from YOU MOMENTUM!!!
When I questioned Tsholanang about the delay on 19 February 2018 she did not even respondend (which is unprofessional). I would also like to mentioned that this accident is not my fault..so how long exactly is the recovery process going to take if they are taking their time with the main claim.
All I want is my vehicle to be fixed…and I will not leave it here with this unnessary delay.
I want my claim to be authorise TODAY. I want my EXCESS to be WAIVED TODAY due to this humiliating and unfairly treated experience and I WILL PROCEED TO THE OMBUDSMAN!!!
I would like to thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. It is unfortunate that you have not had a favourable service experience and would like to apologise for that. The matter has been escalated to a team manager and they will be in contact during the course of today to assist further.
