Alexander Forbes sells lies

Towards the end of 2016, i decided to shop for a new insurance cover for my car, i came across Alexander Forbes and i contacted them for a quote. The name of the lady that was helping me was Babalwa/Thandi Sigaji ; she explained the insurance policy and she assured me that the record will be available to me on requestt; i was sold. I took the insurance on the 2nd September 2016.

In May 2018, my car was involved in an accident, i informed my insurer and the car was taken in for body repairs in Queenstown. Upon completion of the body repair, the body repairer informed me that the car is ready for collection and that i needed to pay an excess of R4700. This is when i asked my insurer to send me the record(which i was assured would be available on request) because what i had agreed upon when i took insurance did not reconcile with the amount of excess i was told to pay. It was on the 23 May when i asked for this record to test my understanding of what we agreed upon with Thandi/Babalwa on the day i took the policy.

Today is the 18 June, the record has not been sent to me and i have sent countless request for the record . What i have noticed now is that the insurance people whom i trusted with my money are not responding to my email that are requesting this recording BUT they respond very promptly when i talk about something else.

I am utterly disappointing with the below poor service i am getting from Alexander Forbes. I feel **** to, cheated and ******. I would like to discourage anyone who was contemplating taking insurance with Alexander Forbes to look elsewhere because come the time they want to claim, Alexander Forbes will not be anywhere to be found. My family members also know about my disappointment with this insurance companies and they have started to look for alternative insurance company.
