Alexander Forbes ***boys

Dear South Africans, I write this review with a heavy heart and regrets. I blame myself for not listening to most complaintants here on hellopeter. Last month I did a quotation for car and contents with Alexander Forbes consultant by the name of Tumelo Mdakane. I was happy with the quote that was given to me based on quality of the products and premium. So I told Tumelo to start policy on the 25 Feb 2019 and debit date since you can’t choose your own I went with the 26th of every month. Today i woke up to a debit order sms of a different amount. Alexander Forbes debut more than what we discussed. I email Tumelo seeking clarity . He reply with his snotty email as always . He advise me it’s a prorata. When I took policy this guy didn’t mention R300 prorata. Which he is in bridge of FAIS act. So I do my calculations of prorata since I am a numbers person and they come naturally. The answer I get it’s not even closer to what he suggests. So since I have had problems with other things before we incept cover I ask him to cancel the policy effectively from start date. The very arrogant and snotty Tumelo has audacity to talk down on me like I am his little boy. He want to reprimand me and refuse to cancel my policy as per my request. On the phone I point to him what FAIS act prescribe and he want to coach me about insurance. So I point to him relevant pages with regards to cancellation within cooling off. I advise his assistant to do what is right and follow my instruction not of a hungry foolish sales boy. They ignore my emails. I phone Tumelo regional manager Nomkhosi if I am not wrong. Both her manager and regional manager ignore my request for call back. Mind you Tumelo hang up on me, shout at me like a boy. Tumelo and her hantchman called Thando ignore my emails and they don’t take calls. I phone their other number a colleague ask if I would like to speak to Thando and the same Thando refuse to attend to my request. I’ll cut the story shot. Do Not buy Products from Alexander Forbes insurance. I wonder if Patrice Motsepe he’s proud to be associated with such madness and ***boys . No accountability in this business sales people they can bully you and they know there’s no consequence management. Reviews on hellopeter they are not incorrect had I followed them as always I wouldn’t be here
