ALEXANDER FORBES CLIENTS...BEWARE OF MOMENTUM INSURANCE..!!!

Hi Brandt,

I had no issues when I dealt with A/Forbes, Momentum came into the picture, and did precisely what I’d expected, Momentum already has a massive reputation of being efficient at repudiating claims or finding every reason not to settle claims, that fact is known throughout the country.

My vehicle was taken into Renew-it in March following an accident, an assessor was brought in, it was then discovered that the vehicle was not driving, his conclusion was that the insurer should ONLY fix the body damage and not the engine damage.

By agreeing to fix the damages on the body, it simply means you acknowledge an incident did take place, now, logic dictates that the vehicle must have been moving when this happened, otherwise how else could it have happened?

Subsequently, a second assessment by a supposed dealer was conducted, only to be informed by the claims consultant that the said engine damage would not be fixed, as per findings.

Your company went ahead and fixed the damages, it’s been 2 weeks now, body repairs are complete, and obviously the car is not DRIVING.

I was told the claim would go to a claims committee meeting, where I would be given a formal rejection letter, this never happened.

I sent an email demanding my rejection letter as well as the findings from both the assessments, this never happened, a few days later I made another follow-up, which was ignored.

Procedurally, it is my right as a client to demand this information and be directed to the Ombudsman if I so wish, that too, never happened.

I took it upon myself to approach the Ombudsman, who is waiting for a formal response and final internal determination from your company to proceed with my case.

Last month, your company resorted to threatening me to return the rental vehicle after I explained to them how this would inconvenience me even though the delay was on their side, did they care?

Whilst you are meeting rejection targets, I’m busy using taxis and exposing my family to Corona.

I don’t expect sympathy, I expect to be treated fairly.

It’s about time Alexander Forbes clients know what they are in for, now that Momentum took over their insurance, I am now going to the media to warn them,

This exploitation and bad behaviour must END.

Siya
