Aiding House Robery
I had put in a claim for my household insurance, momentum assisted smoothly and approved my claim. They sent an assessor to my home and approved my claim prior to the assessor arriving. I communicated this with the gentleman. He then said he shouldn't have been called out but will assist me with repairing the damaged goods on his own accord. He then took my goods with the promise of sending me a quote on my own accord in a weeks time. It's been 6 or 7 weeks since and now refuses to quote or return my goods and claims that I should take it up with the insurance. The pay out wasn't even a fraction of the items collected. Not only was underpaid but now I've lossed items of high value with sentimental value.

26 Feb 2025, 15:33Hi Qhakazile
Ive since been told to collect my valuables after they were declared unsalvageable. To only be informed that I need to pay a repair fee after I had specifically stated that I do not require the services of the service provider who has been holding my valuables for 7 weeks and counting. Upon arrival I was told that they are not in, that they will strip my valuable item of parts and that I must make another 25 min trip back to their home to collect.
This is not only unprofessional but **** like behavior that has been displayed and clearly supported by Momentum. How can a service provider collect items, hold them hostage, claim they cannot be repaired, then repair them and then demand payment and that it be collected? Is this standard procedure? Is this how all customers are treated?
Regards
