Worst Medical Aid

<p>I was referred by my network GP to be admitted to Welkom Medi Clinic - which is also a hopsital on the network that I am allowed to go to - because of possible appendicitis. Due to the hospital being full and no available beds, I was sent to the doctors rooms ( specifically to the doctor that was on duty in Casualties ) he then referred me to go for xrays as well as a sonar at Radiology in the same hospital that is on my network list, to confirm if it is possible appendicitis or not. Momentum confirmed that if I was admitted to the hospital the xrays and sonar would have been paid for by my medical aid, but because I was not admitted and because a network dr ( that is practicing at the hospital which is on the network list ) they will not pay me back as well as a numerous other reasons. This was out of my hands seeing as the hospital was full and there were no available beds to be admitted. The surgeon that referred me for xrays and the sonar also stated that in a letter to Momentum. I feel that this is completely unacceptable due to the nature of my illness, I was meant to be admitted but was not simply due to a technicality.</p>
