Specialist benefit - referral for gynae

About 2 weeks back momentum advised that we can use 2 of the specialist visits to cover 2 pregnancy gynae visits, as 4 is too little and has already been used.

However they advised that we need to go to a GP, who must then refer to the gynae. This doesn't make any sense at all, I'm on the Maternity benefit already and my stomach clearly shows pregnancy, why should I need to get a referral from a GP to say... "go to a gynae, you pregnant". That's a total waste of half a day sitting in a GP's office.

please can you relook at this and authorise the 2 spcialist gynae visists without a GP referral, you know the pregnancy status so no need to waste everyones time.

Hi Jody In our last discussion you advised that the authorization was loaded for 8th August which went through successfully. You advised that auth for september could not be loaded and that call centre will load the authorization for second visit after first visit is done, and that it will be noted for the call centre. The call centre loaded the auth in september for the 8th however they did not load it the same as the auth you loaded for August, hence its not being paid fully. Please check as the authorization for 4th August & 8 september should be the same Thanks
