We barely use our hospital plan, only for EMERGENCIES! Which we have now!

We have been with Momentum for 14 years, never ever had a problem of any sort, until NOW!!

My husband was admitted in the middle of the night 12/02/2021 with kidney stones, which is an EMERGENCY procedure! A stent was placed in for the kidney stones to come out. He has to go back to theatre on 18/02/2021 to have the stent removed.

We have a co payment of of R1600 for admission to hospital which we are aware of.

So that's R1600 x 2 = R3200 for both admissions

Another SURPRISE of R2700 for a co payment for a CT scan that was done IN HOSPITAL

Today we were phoned, ANOTHER SURPRISE of R4930 as a co payment for a Scope to be done IN HOSPITAL to remove the stent!!!

This is an emergency, we didn't as for this! Who has R11 000 lying around for co payments??? And why do we have a hospital plan???

That is a total of R10 830 on CO PAYMENTS for procedures done IN HOSPITAL!!!!!!!

Why do we contribute R4366 EVERY MONTH towards our hospital plan if Momentum is milking people? That is a total of R52 392 a year, and we have been members for 14 years!!!!!!

We don't have R11 000 lying around, and that means my husband would have to walk around with the stent until who knows when??????

I will cancel this rediculous scheme and get something else!
