REFUSED ASSISTANCE, MEDICAL AID NOT ACCEPTED

I had an emergency on the 7th of August at around 2am, I went through to Life Carstenhof Clinic, which Momentum advises as one of their network hospitals on the ingwe option however uopn arrival at the hospital I was told by the receptionist as the casualty ward that they do not accept Momentum Ingwe at all. Luckily it was not a life threatening illness however I was in a lot of pain- enough to wake up and go the hospital at that time of the night. Momentum is therefore providing false information to clients which unfortunately you as a client only find out at a critical time. I called the momentum call cantre to lodge a complaint about this only to be put on hold for 15 minutes then hung up on. This is a epic fail on the part of the medical aid and its service providers. I am scared to think that if I was in a more serius situation, not that this one wasnt, but if I had been involved in a car crash or had a heart attack- then I would have been dead. The whole point of spending so much money on medical aid is so that I dont have to worry about paying absurd amounts of money just to see a doctor or get emergency help. I will most certainly be looking for another medical scheme.
