NEVER EVER use this fund, especially the Ingwe option. I am a health specialist and I cannot express my dislike of this fund strongly enough. Someone markets this fund to students as a cheap option which, of course, ‘covers everything’. Yes, but only if you go to a state facility to get your treatment. Can they please tell me WHICH state facility the patient must go to to get the PMB treatment they need? And, if they communicate so well to their clients about where they must go for treatment, why do they turn up at my practice for treatment? What fool would agree to pay money to a medical aid so the medical aid can send them to a state facility? Wouldn’t it be cheaper just to turn up at the state facility without paying a premium? When they designed Ingwe, did they say, let us design a plan where we get money in but we don’t have to spend anything? And don’t get me started on Health-4 -u - hahaha. Don’t expect any health.
