No service delivery

Me and my family was sold a Momentum Health Hospital plan in April 2017 by the Hereford Group in Howick. The understanding was that in times of Crisis we will be covered medically and will be able to receive treatment in a Private Hospital facility.

October 2017 the Doctor then wanted to admit my wife to Hospital for treatment and further tests. We gave our medical aid details and paid a R 1200.00 cash co-payment.

Then Momentum Health refused to cover the in Hospital costs despite the fact that we were Momentum Health members since April 2017 without any exclusions. When we questioned this the answer from Momentum was that we were not members for 12 months, the next excuse was that we have to apply for approval...... Now my wife is back home and still sick and Momentum Health very gladly took my money without delivering the service they sell???

I believe that Consumers should be warned against this and that the regulatory bodies should investigate Momentum Health for this exploitation.

Official

As per your discussion yesterday, our consultant did explain the process and that the decision will be reviewed once all the clinical information is received.

Reviewer Update
Once a again a very clear indication that Momentum Health do not care about their members and that they are willing to take all the time in the world to consider and review.... whilst their members are sick and do not receive the medical attention they pay for.... EXPLOITATION Debbie!! Do not attempt to hide behind Corporate bureaucracy and red tape. Momentum Health do not deliver on what they sell!!
