Need I say more? Don't go to Momentum Health

My daughter joined Momentum Health in November, 2017. Everyone was most helpful and friendly UNTIL, her first two premiums were paid and she ran into difficulty with a disc herniation in her back, landed in a wheelchair and needed a small, microscopic operation. Then the tables turned on her. For two weeks, constant telephone calls (must amounted to more than one month's premium at Momentum) regarding medical reports, info from doctors etc. etc. Doctors rooms REALLY became fed up with all her calls and requests. Phew!!! Everyday she was promised that it was "forwarded to higher authority for approval and that she would have a reply that afternoon or first thing in the morning." Needless to say, the reply never came, instead, more and more reports. Then, after what seemed to be ages, the medical aid rep**** that they dissapproved the procedure and removed her from the medical aid, she being a HIGH RISK. From 2012 to 2017, she had been to the doctor 4 times, for upper respiratory infection and then for her back. She wanted to dispute, but got a call that they would reimburse her fees, and she withdraws her dispute. The fees were never paid back. When she called a week later, they informed that her R4,400 "will be paid as soon as they have funds, which will be after the 7th." She is still waiting for her money and I will now suggest she goes to the Medical Legal Council and Ombudsman. Members of the public, please take heed of these guys. Should your health be in their hands, you are in trouble.
