Momentum's maternity nightmare

A fair warning to anyone looking to sign up with momentum medical aid. My experience with this medical aid was always good up until my wife fell pregnant. They lack associated specialists at their associated hospitals. We have had to lodge a complaint with the CMS at the beginning of my wife's pregnancy and even after momentum agreed to cover the non associated gynecologist in full, they have not, the gynecologist's office is still contacting me for payments outstanding. Further down the line we eventually switched to an associated gynecologist as soon as there was one made available even though they were a lot further from our nearest associated hospital. We then used a Duola and stuck to the requirements of the medical aid, they are now refusing to reimburse me. There also seems to be a lack of communication within momentum, and they seem to try and find any possible reason to reject a claim. My wife was rushed to hospital and went in for an emergency c-section and our little one had to spend 4 days in NICU. The hospital and staff were great but then dealing with the medical aid afterwards has been a nightmare causing unnecessary stress during a time that should be filled with joy where we need to be supported the most. Since welcoming the little one home I have now received email communication stating that I need to pay a co-payment even though it was an emergency, and that they are authorizing 1,5days although he was there for 4days. The associated pediatrician still has not been paid by the medical aid. We've been passed from pillar to post with no clear indication for resolution. We have done our due diligence and have done everything required by the medical aid only for them to change it after the fact. I am hoping that all of this can be resolved with the urgency it requires before I head back to the CMS again. Momentum boast great maternity benefits but I have yet to see one. I hope this post makes someone hesitate before choosing momentum and saves them a lot of anxiety and stress in their journey.
