Momentum Medical Aid

I got sick and my husband called an ambulance on my behalf as I couldn't walk or breathe properly, he and the paramedics checked which network hospital is covered under my medical aid and drove me there in an ambulance. Fortunate enough, I was able to be treated in the casualty though I slept there the whole day, I was then told to pay R1200 in advance and I will claim from my medical aid. After submitting my claim, this is the message I got "The authorization was created and the claim for Dr. Pretorius will be short paid to you on 21 September 2022. A co-payment was app**** to the claim and the practice has charged above the Scheme rate.

An amount of R362.38 will be paid. Refunds take approximately 4 working days to clear into your bank account.

The reference number for your email is ***. "

My claim was treated as if I went to see a private doctor outside of a network list whereas I did not, is this really fair?
