Momentum medical aid

I app**** for this medical aid in the month of April 2017 hoping that it would help me since i have been having a problem with my tonsils and was looking forward to remove them. As i was filling in the application form there was a place where you have to state about your health/medical matters, whether you on any chronic medication or have any some sort of diseases and i said i have none of those because its true i dont. What i know and understand is that tonsils come and go, i had home remedies that i used once that occurred and they helped but my plan was not to spend the rest of my life using those remedies and struggling with these tonsils, especially that i know there is an option to remove them and that would really help so that i do not suffer like i have been.

I am a student so i app**** for the ingwe student package at Momentum health. And my application was approved and i could use my medical aid. Although i did not go to the Doctor immediately after receiving it. I waited for the school holidays of june and decided to proceed with the tonsilectomy in Cape Town where i am originally from.

I want to for a check up at the ENT Specialist and he also advised me that yes it would be the best option to remove the tonsils and we booked a date for the operation and i also had to call for the authorisation from momentum so the process of the authorisation for admission at the hospital momentum wanted a medical history of the past 12 months and i did not have much information about my medical history and i hardly went to the Doctor for the past 12 months, iv bn using home remedies for my tonsils. So the medical aid told me then this is not enough and they cant cover for the operation and when i ask why they said i did not state in the application that i have a problem with my tonsils. I did not mention the tonsil problem on the medical history at the time because it had subsided and was not giving me problems but shortly after the medical aid application I started having tonsollyths with recurrent tonsillitis and I was treating them with home remedies but that was obviously not helping until a point where I saw the momentum network GP who referred me to ENT specialist who actually diagnosed this problem and advices that tonsils be removed or they'll continue to become problematic, I'm really struggling and it's said that I'm suffering while having a medical aid. Im really disappointed in this medical aid bcs each and every month its i pay it but they not helping me.

The next day they send me an exclusion form saying that they excluding this problem i had of which i do not understand what ia the medical aid for if it the exclude things u need them to cover and the assistant i spoke to i askes her a wtitten explanation of all the i am getting from them and it was a problem for her to send it as she was trying to explain on the phone but i did not want that. she then also gave me options with a tone as if shes threatening that that either i sign the exclusion or they will cancel my medical aid. I didn't choose anyof those and just for help. A few days later went to clicks for medication and i find out while purchasing that my medical aid was terminated. Immediately i call them and i spoke to a different person and i asked the Sakhsha the assistant iv been communicating with and the guy i spoke to said he cant transfer the call or reach to her but its his collegue as he says and he asks what is the problem and i told him my problem ans he said he recalls this issue as Sakhsha also informed him about it he also tols me the same thing that i did not state i have this problem hence they have to exclude or terminate.
