Momentum Ingwe option is the worst

A greenfly flew into my fiancé's eye whilst with her family on a farm. With the eye swelling up and being very itchy we rushed her to the local GP. Being an emergency, and being on the Momentum Ingwe student option, authorization was obtained whilst in the out of network doctor waiting room. She was referred to a specialist for which authorization was also obtained. The specialist required a R700 deposit, which they said will be refunded by the Medical aid. After going through a rough couple of weeks, including 3 specialist visits, her eye returned to normal. Firstly Momentum refuses to refund the R700 as only one beneficiary can be paid per claim. I have now sent several emails begging them to pay the R700 to the supplier in order to cover the outstanding balance of the specialist visits, which they did not cover entirely, for some reason. They also refused, up until very recently, to pay the out of network doctor visit, as she "did not have authorization". After explaining that we could not have received the specialist authorization, which we did, without the out of network authorization, they paid the claim. Or so we thought, litterally 24hours later, they resent the claim rejecting the largest amount as they do not cover "locating and removing foreign objects from eye". Why on earth does one have a medical aid. I could have just taken her to the hospital and have Momentum pay the extreme amounts, but trying to be reasonable has bitten me in the ****. I am extremely unhappy and will be cancelling both my and her Momentum Ingwe memberships as soon as possible.
