Momentum Health refuses to provide their promised coverage

Momentum is refusing to provide the coverage that I am paying for in my plan.

I have the Momentum Health Ingwe plan, which, is admittedly, bottom tier. Nonetheless, they advertise that they cover the cost of an optometrist visit + lenses + frames every two years. I went to an optometrist from their list for the first time and followed their instructions. The bill for the whole thing came to >R5000. I sent in my claim and Momentum first rejected it out of hand.

After multiple phone calls, they are willing to cover R784 of the bill, which is no where near their promised coverage. Moreover, during this process, I was repeatedly told they would call me. Each of those promises has been a lie as they have not followed up whatsoever. They have only briefly responded to Facebook messages.

Since they will not actually cover a visit to the optometrist + lenses + frames like they promised, I doubt they will cover any other real medical issues.

I strongly recommend against ever getting a plan with Momentum as they don't provide coverage, they lie to their clients, they blame other people for their problems, and are ultimately just *****ing your money.
