Momentum does not see endometriosis as a serious enough condition
Dear Momentum
Please explain to me why in 2023 you still don't have any endometriosis specialists contracted with you? Paying 30% of my hospital bill, 50% deposit to my endo specialist, colo****** surgeon and anethetist just because you can't provide me with a contracted specialist, does NOT sit well with me.
How will I afford these 50% deposits, not even knowing if you'll cover any of the surgery until you have received claims? My quality of life is poor. I am in bed most of the time, I am in pain 24/7
I assume living with a tumor caused by endo, nerve damage caused by endo lesions, and an ovary adhered to your bowel is NOT worth considering a serious chronic condition that requires a specialist.
Sincerely, Someone who is looking at an almost 100k surgery bill

07 Aug 2023, 18:50 In 2018 you offered me a contracted gynecologist who completely missed my enlarged appendix (I told him to check it and he brushed it off) and bowel endometriosis, and 2 months later I needed an emergency appendectomy and less than a year later I needed surgery with a specialist who diagnosed me with stage 4 endometriosis on my sciatic nerve, and removed a portion of my bowel- all because YOUR contracted specialist missed major issues. 3 Surgeries in the span of a year.

11 Aug 2023, 10:57PLEASE can Debbie or someone get back to me as we've had lengthy talks regarding my surgery and now everything has gone quiet.
I found out that momentum has been emailing the main member and not myself so I had to ask for all that information now. I received my quotes today and I see my shortfall for the surgery is R53 913.31 (50% of the specialist's fees and the 15% fee of the hospital bill to be paid within a week) all because MOMENTUM can NOT supply me with an endometriosis specialist or someone capable of performing this surgery.
Because of Momentum's failure to provide care for their clients, I will most likely have to cancel this surgery and suffer with the chronic pain that my tumor and endometriosis is causing me until I can move over to a different medical aid. I don't understand why I had to write so many motivations, send pathology reports and spend long periods of time on the phone for it to get to this.
I'm devastated.
