MOMENTUM - Debited premium even though policy cancelled
On the 18th of December I instructed Momentum to cancel my mothers medical aid as well as her savings portion, I did get a response a day or so later asking for my mothers death certificate which I did forward to them. They then sent a response back confirming they had cancelled the medical aid and said that there would be NO MORE debit orders.
Due to the fact that I was in the process of closing her account etc. I went and double checked that there was a zero balance etc. and no problems only to see that Momentum had the audacity to debit my mothers account with the new 2019 premium of R1944.00.
I then sent Momentum various emails instructing them to REVERSE the debit and also credit her account with the penalty (R120) that FNB charge for being over drawn as it was their **** up and not my mothers. To date I have not had a response from them and received a text message/s from FNB stating that my mothers account had been in excess for 5 days and that I was to deposit funds to cover the excess and avoid unnecessary fees.
I have STILL not heard a word from Momentum.
