medical aid ripoffs!!

I had an emergency cesarean on the 4th October at 23:58 my baby was born. The only anaesthetist available at the time wasn't covered by my network of specialists on my medical aid option but it was an emergency as I would have lost my baby. Now I have to pay a shortfall of R3100 but the situation was beyond my control & I didn't have a choice, time was of the essence! So what is the point of having medical aid if you still need to make huge payments,which I don't have the money for either. seriously disappointed in the medical aid!!
