MEANINGLESS MATERNITY PROGRAM

When my girlfriend and I found out that she was pregnant, we signed up for Momentum's Maternity program. The program is advertised by Momentum as world class however when it now comes to claiming back from the scheme very little seems to actually be covered. We called the call centre on three separate occasions to confirm what is covered by the scheme. We were assured that the only thing we would need to pay for was the 1000 co payment for hospitalisation. The 2015 Marketing brochure states that 12 Antenatal visits are covered with either a midwife GP or Gynaecologist yet we are only able to claim back R89.80 per consultation. This is only brought to you attention once you attempt to claim. Nowhere online or within the brochure is this payment discrepancy mentioned.<br> Furthermore our Midwife's fees to deliver are R9000 for midwife global obstetrics procedure code 88399 which apparently isn't covered by the program! We have already booked our midwife and paid a deposit of R4000 because we were assured that her fees would be covered. It really feels like we were misled about what would be covered.
