********ly suspending medical aid
Please help me make this make sense…
I inform my medical aid that my banking details have changed in order to update my debit order details (long before the actual debit order date). After completing the necessary form and submitting it back to my medical aid (get this) 13 days after my debit order I am now informed that my medical aid is suspended.
Hoe on earth does this make sense??? Did I miss something??? Not a call or an email indicating that there was some sort of problem. Nope only a notification after already submitting the requested documentation that my medical aid has been suspended.
What a country we live in.
Luckily the medical aid ombudsman was very helpful.

We have attempted to discuss your complaint and assist you with a way forward to have your medical aid suspension uplifted. We do apologize for any inconvenience caused, you do have the option of doing an EFT for the current premiums due. You can reply and notify me if you are willing to discuss this complaint in an appropriate manner.

The fact of the matter is that you were made aware om my changing in banking details long before my debit order was due. You then suspended my medical without informing me of any issues with my new details or prior notice of the suspension!!! That is against the law and the consumer protection act.
As mentioned I have filed a formal complaint with the medical ombudsman.
You have no excuse for not contacting me or informing me of any payment issue before suspending my medical aid!!!!
