LOSS OF MOMENTUM AT MOMENTUM HEALTH

I am currently paying close to R3000 for my medical aid- no subsidy from my employer. I have myopia. So I recently went to see the optometrists, he referred me to an ophthalmologist. Momentum health paid fully for my consultations. The thing is, the opthamologist said I have cataract in both eyes as young as I am and that it won't go away magically. He stressed that the cataract will get worse, he suggested surgery as its the only way to sort it out. Now I call the medical aid informing them of this, they tell me that cataract surgery is not covered on my option. The company I work for is paying far too little for me to say I will pay for myself. I mean from the 2 peanuts I'm earning 1 goes to my medical aid. So Momentum health is basically saying we will take your money monthly and you will have to find a way to see with your eyes as bad as they are. Sadly it's compulsory for me to have the momentum medical aid but if I had it my way I wouldn't think of having them as my health care takers. Again paying R3000 I'm forced to go see a PRIMARY HEALTH DOCTOR. Sorry to say but those doctors are glorified nurses, trial and error doctors. I'm really depressed with the momentum medical aid.
