Incorrect amount for unemployed person

I resigned my job to look after my baby from 1 September and app**** to be on the Ingwe option as I'm unemployed. The original quote was R540, but after receiving my bank statements, I was quoted R2426. My statements show that I received a salary up until the end of August, but I gave an affidavit stating that I will be unemployed from 1 September. I cannot afford to pay such a high premium, so I had to cancel my membership. I'm very disappointed in Momentum. I wanted to sign up my husband and brother-in-law for Momentum's medical aid as well, but after these problems I won't refer anyone.
