FED UP

I am so fed up with this medical aid. How is it that your "associated Doctors" are based at hospitals which are not part of your associated network. We were forced to see a Doctor at Olivedale clinic, he is an associated Doctor. We were booked in at this hospital for surgery, and now are told we must pay R1300 copayment and 13% of the bill.

When we query this, we are told that we should go to an associated hospital, which is conveniently a lot closer to home, but the Doctor at this hospital is not an associated Doctor. So how does this work?

Last year when we were booked in at the associated hospital for an emergency, we were told that the surgery would not be covered as that doctor was not an associated doctor.

It seems to me that it's far too easy to make excuses not to pay, it seems nothing that we do is right. It's so exhausting. And honestly, we never had these issues with Discovery. We will be moving back to them.
