Failure to waive co payment for emergency treatment

Was admitted to the hospital for a emergency appendectomy. Although service received from hospital and the authorisation required to book me into the hospital was quick and seemless. The operation fall under emergency treatment.

I was requested to pay a co payment for the surgery and when I queried this. Momentum health request my vitals at the time of admission to prove that the operation was an emergency.

What a disappointment? I guess all insurances are the same
