Dont fall for the health contributions

Momemntum promises you R1000 in health contribution every month should you be on private club and have a fitness assesmnet of level 5. However to get on a level 5 you need a perfect score in 5 categories like lung capacity, hip to waist ratio etc. Should you get a perfect 5 they will still put you on a level 4 and nobody from their customer services department has any idea as to why you are on a level 5 and apparently they cannot do anything about it.

At first I was told my fat percentage is too low 11.6. Then I showed them their requirements that says 20-21 OR below 12. After that they told me my lung capacity is too high. Should be > 605, I am on a 665. So apparently 665 is not more than 605...

Now nobody can do anything or explain to me why. So just know that you will never be on a level 5 and get the R1000 a month as promised.

Reviewer Update

Received a response from Momentum itself as Multiply customer service agents has no clue as to how to deal with queries. Thank you Momentum.

1. Waist circumference: His waist circumference of 85 cm is below the norm (102 cm) based on his gender which is excellent, and he therefore received full marks here.

2. Body fat %: His body fat % of 11.81% is below the norm (12 -21%) based on his gender which is excellent, and he therefore received full marks here.

3. Flexibility: Flexibility consists of 4 measures, ALL 4 measures are above the norms which is excellent, and he therefore received full marks here.

4. Lung capacity: His lung capacity is measured at 665 L/min which is above the norm (606 L/min) based on his age and height.

5. Cardiac efficiency: Cardiac efficiency is based on a scoring system of 1 -7, one of the system upgrades on Allegra will be to rather show the cardiac efficiency score out of 7 than the range for HR, thus making it easier to understand and interpret. So the range for his cardiac efficiency based on his age and gender is 96 – 102 which is the HR range, you would want your HR to be below the norm, his cardiac efficiency/HR of 100 is within the norm however still not below the norm, and you want it to be below the norm to score a 6 or 7 out of a possible 7. For cardiac efficiency to be seen as excellent the member needs to score at least a 6 out of a possible 7, then they will receive full points for that measurement.

The calculation for the cardiac efficiency score is based out of 7:

· If you are below the norm you will score either a 6 – 7 out of a possible 7, depending on how far your measurement is below the norm.

· If you are within the desired norm, for him (96 -102), you will either score a 3 -5 out of a possible 7, depending on where you are within the norm

· If you are above the norm, you are only able to score a 1 -2 out of a possible 7, depending on how high your measurement is.

So in this case he only received a cardiac efficiency score of 3 out of a possible 7, and cardiac efficiency weighs the most in the fitness assessment calculation.
