DO NOT GO WITH MOMENTUM, UNLESS YOU LIKE WASTING MONEY

momentum is an absolute waste of money! constantly fighting them to pay out claims that should be covered. I was under my dad's medical aid when I fell pregnant so I went onto the maternity programme with no issue, after giving birth, I got a whole bunch of rejected claims and was then told they will only cover my hospital fees if I register myself and my infant on my own med aid, so I requested a quote and the total for myself and my baby came to R2300... I agreed to that premium. so the med aid was active from 1st October for 1 year... I took my baby for his first 6 week vaccinations in November, which should be covered by the med aid - they rejected this claim. then they deducted the premium which was all of a sudden R3000 not R2300 which I had agreed too, when I phoned to query they told me that whoever quoted me, quoted me incorrect and the premium was actually going to be R3000. so I paid for Oct, Nov and December as they deducted the premium for those 3 months in December, after the deduction and finding out what the premium was actually going to cost (r3000 for 1 adult and 1 infant) I told them I was to cancel with immediate effect as I did not agree to the R3000 premium. They are now still rejecting the claim for my babies 6 week shots which should be covered as I paid the premium for those 3 months. I have phoned and queried and phoned and queried. the Med Aid is a bunch Of nonsense! such a high premium charged then they still don't cover what was agreed! IF YOU LIKE WASTING MONEY AND FIGHTING FOR CLAIMS TO BE PAID OUT... MOMENTUM IS THE WAY TO GO

I have now gone with Affinity Health which only charges me R1400 for myself and my infant, with the exact same cover I was on with Momentum
