Disgusting service by professionals

I am writing to express my profound disappointment with the service I received from Dr. Thandeka Maphumulo and Dr. Penelope during my recent consultations on May 28th and May 29th, 2024.

On May 28th, 2024, I requested a call from Hello Doctor as I was experiencing symptoms of the flu/cold. Unfortunately, the service I received fell far short of my expectations based on past positive experiences.

Dr. Thandeka Maphumulo: During our call, Dr. Maphumulo was notably snappy and impatient. Given my condition, I was in no state to engage in lengthy discussions or defend my requests. I asked for two days off to recover, but she only granted 24 hours, dismissing my request for additional time by stating it was unnecessary. Her demeanor was dismissive and unsupportive, which added to my distress.

Dr. Penelope (last name unknown): On May 29th, 2024, I reached out again after experiencing issues obtaining my prescribed medication from the pharmacy. Dr. Penelope handled my call. Her approach was condescending, and she treated me as if my concerns were unimportant. She repeatedly told me "that's not how the doctors work," without allowing me to fully explain the situation. Her lack of empathy and unwillingness to listen made me feel like a nuisance.

The overall service I received was appalling and unprofessional. I have never felt so disregarded and inconvenienced, especially when seeking medical help during a vulnerable time. It is disheartening to be treated with such rudeness and insensitivity by healthcare professionals.

I trust that this complaint will reach the appropriate department for review. I hope that steps will be taken to ensure that such behavior does not continue, and that future patients receive the compassionate and professional care they deserve.
