Basic dentistry a ****

My Medical aid plan covers basic dentistry. I went for very basic dentistry and the office did not send it through to momentum. I then asked my broker to sort it out just to receive the news they wont be paying for it because i did not get pre clearance on it. I did not know what prosedure i was getting so how can i get pre clearance?
