Associated specialists DEAD/STROKE ETC

I had a hip issue since November last year. I went to 2 GP's, a chiropractor, biokineticist and 3 Orthopedic surgeons. Eventually I now know what is wrong with me. The second Orthopedic surgeon ordered an MRI and was going to operate but he is not an associated doctor on your custom plan so I had to find a Momentum affiliated doctor. Momentum gave me a list of 9 doctors to choose from. One is dead, the other one had a stroke and none of the others are prepared to operate on hips. With this information I phoned Momentum and Llewelyn said I must go to Dr. Steyn. He only operates from the N1 City hospital, a hospital not on the custom plan but on the cheaper access plan. Given this, Momentum advised me to get a motivational letter from Dr. Steyn in order for the operation to be performed at N1 City without penalizing me. I am in extruciating pain and booked off indefinitely. I was told on Monday that I will have an answer today but today I was told you have not yet looked into the matter. I do not care who or where the operation is done, but it is hard to believe that Momentum does not have a single associated doctor doing hip arthroscopies as an associated hospital in Cape Town!
